Course Overview
The WEST Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) prepares students for the challenges of the modern business world and strengthens and develops their broader personal and professional skills. Over a period of 3 years, the students will study a variety of course modules in Business and Management to gain breadth and hone their skills, and to gain a wide array of knowledge and skills. The program is designed to provide students with insight into research and to enable them to produce a high-quality dissertation or business project upon completion. The BBA is offered on a 3-year full-time and 4.5-year part-time basis.
The BBA will enable students to develop their creative and strategic thinking and provide them with the skills needed to become contributing members of the challenging business sector.
The BBA offered at WEST is presented in a general format, exposing students to a range of business modules. At the end of the program, they earn their Bachelor of Business Administration.
The BBA program, duration 3 years, 180 ECTS, 4500 hours; is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), and the accreditation category of the program is ‘Higher Education Course / Program’

The ideal applicant for the 3 year BBA degree program would be:
a) Holding a high school certificate or equivalent, such as a matriculation certificate (MQF Level 4)
b) 18 years of age or above
c) English Language Proficiency: Candidates who are non-native speakers of English language or have not studied their undergraduate in English must undertake the IELTS at 6.5 or above The English language proficiency requirement may be waived if the student is a native speaker of English and/or they have completed their secondary education in a country where English is the official language or English was the first language of instruction where they graduated.
d) Digitally literate with fundamental skills in computing, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and the internet, that would be useful for their studies.
Mature learners may apply for the program if they have at least 3 years of work experience and above.
Transfer students may apply for RPL with their prior accredited qualifications (RPCL) at Level 5. Credits can be awarded only to level 5. RPL policy has been approved by the MFHEA.

Target Audience
The BBA program is targeted at
a. Applicants who have completed their high school (MQF Level 4) and wish to apply for an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Business. Applicants would ideally be 18 years of age or above.
b. Transfer Applicants holding a valid level 5 qualification may apply for further study toward attaining the bachelor’s degree.
c. Working professionals who wish to complete their bachelor qualifications, and not hold a valid level 4 qualification, may be admitted with a 3-year and above of proven managerial, commercial, or marketing experience.
d. Working professionals who wish to have a thorough background in management to progress further in their careers, such as supervisors, coordinators, assistant managers, junior managers, middle managers, project coordinators, and project managers
The program is for those applicants who aspire to become / or are business professionals; who would like to work /or do work for private commercial government or semi-government enterprises or run their enterprises as entrepreneurs. The learners would have the opportunity to study toward their postgraduate studies upon completion of the Bachelor’s degree.
